Police Jacket

We were called at around 1.55pm today (Tuesday 1 September) after two men were approached by a man in the wooded area by Festival Park. The man demanded property from them and threatened them with a knife before making off with their phones and wallets.

Fortunately, the victims, who are both aged 25 and from Stoke-on-Trent, were not injured but they were left shaken by the incident.

Officers attended immediately and carried out a thorough area search for the suspect, assisted by the Dog Support Unit, Armed Response Officers and Air Support Unit. However, no one was located.

The suspect is described as a white man, 5ft 11ins, slim build, wearing jeans and a navy hooded top. He wore sunglasses and had a scarf covering his face.
