Bowling hut broken into Uttoxeter

We received a call at 9.40am this morning reporting that between 2315hrs on 6 September and 0745hrs 7 September, offenders have approached a lawn green bowling hut, enclosed at the rear of The Old British Legion Club, Bradley Street,  Uttoxeter.

Entry was gained via the only door, which was locked with a Yale lock, using bodily pressure. A tidy search was made of the hut and a tin of biscuits and a lawn bowling ball were stolen. It is not believed at this time that anything else was stolen.

Anyone with any information on the incident is asked to contact Staffordshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 103 of 7 September.  Alternatively, they can contact independent crime-fighting charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or through their Anonymous Online Form at http://www.crimestoppers-uk.org.  No personal details are taken, information cannot be traced or recorded and you will not go to court.
