We received a call just before 9.30am this morning (8th September), to a report of a theft of a bike from a new build house at Barras Park, Stafford.
Intruders have entered the front garden of the property and stolen a mountain bike with no security measures in place. The bike did have a chain on it but it was not in use.
Chief Inspector Jane Hewett, Commander of Stafford Borough Local Policing Team (LPT), said: I urge anyone offered goods for sale in suspicious circumstances to call the police, that gives us the opportunity to investigate and work to return stolen property to the victims who paid good money for their property.
Anyone with any information on the incident, or who is offered any items for sale in suspicious circumstances, is asked to contact Staffordshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 138 of 8 September.
Alternatively, they can contact independent crime-fighting charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or through their Anonymous Online Form at http://www.crimestoppers-uk.org. No personal details are taken, information cannot be traced or recorded and you will not go to court.
