Officers from East Staffordshire Local Policing Team (LPT) have issued a CCTV image of a man they want to speak to in connection with a theft from a petrol station in Burton.
The incident happened at approximately 2.30pm on Saturday 18 July when a man pulled onto the forecourt of Tesco petrol station, St Peters Bridge, in a red car.
The man dispensed fuel to the car and entered the shop claiming to have forgotten his wallet. He returned to his car and reversed away from the petrol pump. In doing so the driver’s wing mirror has clipped the wrist of a pedestrian, causing minor injury. The man has driven off without offering payment for the fuel.
The man is described as being white, medium build, with short, dark shaven hair. He was wearing a grey long-sleeved top and blue tracksuit bottoms.
