Theft from vehicles in Tamworth

We received two reports this morning (7 October) of thefts from vehicles in the Tamworth area overnight.

Offenders broke into a secure Nissan Micra parked in a communal parking bay in Ellerbeck, between 10.30pm last night and 7am this morning, by smashing the front and rear side windows. A search of the car was made and items stolen, including a non-slip mat and vehicle manual (incident number 87 of 7 October).

Overnight offenders have broken into a secure blue Fiesta parked on residents’ car park in Eringden. The front driver’s window was smashed to gain entry and a pair of shoes stolen from inside (incident number 114 of 7 October).
