The death of a man found lying in a Cannock street with serious injuries is being treated as unexplained.
Paul Cross, aged 55, was found lying in Harrison Road last Thursday (1) evening. He sadly died in hospital on Friday evening.
Following a post-mortem examination yesterday (Tues) the provisional cause of death is blunt head injuries. Further tests are still to be carried out.
The investigation to establish how Mr Cross, from the Norton Canes area, came by his injuries is continuing.
Officers are continuing to carry out inquiries in the local area and establish Mr Cross’ movements last Thursday.
