Constable Mark Boyles – Local Policing South
This award was introduced in 2004 and is presented to a student officer who has completed the five modules of the Initial Police Learning and Development Programme (IPLDP) and is authorised to start independent patrol.
Nominations are judged on personal policing skills and interaction with the public.
The recipient is an exceptional officer who epitomises policing by consent in partnership with local people.
PC Mark Boyles joined Lichfield District Local Policing Team in March 2014 and his passion and enthusiasm was abundantly clear from day one.
He is highly regarded by his team because of his positive ‘can do’ attitude in all of his duties. Mark has received countless positive comments from colleagues and supervisors – often because his performance reflects his outstanding level of service.
Mark has a broad understanding of partnership working and problem solving. He has already been involved in complex incidents involving multiple offenders for robbery and burglaries where his evidence gathering skills have significantly helped in linking the offenders to other offences.
He has already shown he’s a very pro-active officer with a number of significant arrests following stop searches. His attention to detail and the quality of his statements has led to both crime prevention and convictions at court.
