Officers from Staffordshire Police are currently investigating an incident that happened at approximately 10.30pm last night (Saturday 10 October) at Three Mile Lane, Keele.
It is thought that six men were involved in an incident with a member of the public near Keele Services and one of them discharged a weapon at the member of the public’s vehicle.
The men are described as in their twenties or thirties. They are believed to be linked to the men arrested yesterday morning at Keele Services for immigration matters. These men are believed to be from Afghanistan and were in a Hungarian lorry.
Forensic examination is being carried out on the vehicle and we are working closely with the member of the public – who was unharmed in the incident. Armed officers continue to search the area and are being assisted by police dogs and the police helicopter.
