We received a call from our colleagues at the ambulance service at 7.55am this morning (13 October), reporting a collision on the A38 at Wychnor Bridges, Fradley.
A black Jeep Compass and a Blue Skoda Fabia were involved in the collision and the road was closed whilst fire service colleagues removed the roof of the Skoda.
One driver was taken to hospital by ambulance with suspected whiplash type-injuries and back pain.
The road had re-opened just after 9am but as the collision was during rush hour there was still a backlog of traffic at that time.
Anyone with any information on the incident is asked to contact Staffordshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 82 of 13 October.
