APPEAL: Did you witness a fatal collision near Lichfield?


We’re appealing for witnesses after a cyclist died as a result of a collision on Saturday 17 October.

The collision involved a white Ford Transit van and a 46-year-old cyclist and happened at around 9pm on the A5127 Birmingham Road between Lichfield and Wall.

Sadly, despite the best efforts of paramedics the cyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.

The man, who is from Lichfield, has not yet been formally identified. His family are aware of his death and are being offered support from specially trained officers.The road remained closed until around 12.45am on Sunday 18 October while specialist officers carried out an investigation at the scene.
