Appeal for witnesses following fatal collision in Uttoxeter


Staffordshire Police are appealing for witnesses following a fatal road traffic collision in Crakemarsh, Uttoxeter. Emergency services attended the B5030, Ashbourne Road, Uttoxeter at around 9:40 am on Sunday 1st November.

The officers found a black coloured Ford Fiesta that been involved in a collision with a tree. Sadly the driver, a 25-year-old man from the local area had sustained fatal injuries. A five-year-old girl, the man’s daughter, was taken to the Royal Stoke Hospital for observations and treatment for what were described as minor injuries.

Specially trained family liaison officers are working to support the family at this difficult time. Officers are keen to speak to any witnesses who may have seen the black Fiesta before the collision. At this early stage of the investigation is it not known at what time the collision occurred.
