APPEAL: Did you witness a burglary in Essington?

We’re appealing for witnesses after entry was forced to the Grocery Shop in Hill Street at around 2.50am today (Thursday 12 November).

Offenders forced the shutters and smashed the window before stealing a large quantity of cigarettes from within.

The suspects are described as two males, both wearing grey hooded tops with scarves covering their faces. One wore grey jogging bottoms and the other wore dark trousers.

It’s believed they made off in a silver vehicle which was driven by a third suspect.

An investigation into the burglary is underway, including a forensic examination of the scene and checks of CCTV in the area.
