Burntwood fatal collision: Man named and family tribute issued


The man who died as a result of a a single vehicle road traffic collision in Springhill Road has been named.

Daniel Manning, 25, of Redwood Drive, died after the off-road style motorbike he was riding was in collision with a lamp post at around 8.45am on Sunday 8 November.

Sadly, despite paramedics best efforts Daniel died at the scene.

Daniel’s family have been informed and are being offered support from specially trained officers.

His family said: “Danny will be truly missed and we treasure all the memories we have. He bought joy to all and touched the hearts of everyone he met. He is sorely missed.”

Sgt Ian Tanner said: “Our investigation into this collision is ongoing but we do not believe any other vehicles were involved.

“The road remained closed until around 11.15am while specially trained officer carried out a detailed investigation at the scene and we’d like to thank motorists for their patience.
