We’re appealing for the public

‘s help to trace three women after a theft at a shop in Longton, Stoke-on-Trent.

The incident happened on Saturday 19 September when three women entered The Rhapsody Mill Shop in The Strand. One of the women concealed two rolls of material under her skirt while the other two distracted the shop keeper.

They also paid for goods and counted out the cash in such a way that they were able to under pay significantly without it coming to the cashiers attention until a later point.

The women are described as Eastern European and it’s believed that they may be responsible for other similar offences.

We’re urging businesses to be on their guard and asking for anyone with information on the womens’ identity to contact us on 101, quoting incident number 441 of September 20.
