Re-appeal for witnesses: Road traffic collision, Uttoxeter

Police are renewing their appeal for witnesses following a road traffic collision in Uttoxeter in October.

The collision occurred at around 5.30pm on Saturday 31 October on the A522 New Road at Uttoxeter, near to the alleyway connecting Weaver Road and New Road.

Barbara Bagley, a 69-year-old female pedestrian, was in collision with a silver Volkswagen Polo that was travelling from the direction of Uttoxeter towards the Shell garage on the A50.

She was treated at the scene and taken to the Royal Stoke University Hospital where she sadly died.

Mrs Bagley’s family continue to be supported by specially trained officers.

The female driver of the Polo was treated for shock at the scene.

Officers from the force’s Collision Investigation Unit (CIU) are continuing to investigate the circumstances of the collision.

They would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision but has not yet been in touch.
