APPEAL: Did you witness a robbery in Tamworth?


We’re appealing for witnesses after a robbery at the Co op in Brent Ninian Way, Wilnecote.

The incident happened at around 7.15pm on Wednesday 2 December.

The suspect assaulted a member of staff before stealing cash. A second member of staff was also assaulted as they attempted to stop the assault on their colleague.

Both members of staff are women from Tamworth, aged 46 and 60. The 60-year-old suffered a hand injury and attended Sir Robert Peel Hospital for treatment while the second woman was uninjured.

The suspect is described as white, 6ft tall and wore dark clothing and a beanie hat.

He was seen to make off in a silver BMW, believed to be a 3 Series.
