APPEAL: Did you witness a robbery in Newcastle-under-Lyme?


We’re appealing for witnesses after a robbery in Bradwell Lane last night, Thursday 3 December.

The incident happened at around 6.30pm when the victim, an 80-year-old woman from Newcastle, was pushed over near the Britannia Public House and a shopping bag containing her purse was stolen.

The purse is described as a red leather clip stud style purse and was within a black shiny canvas shopping bag.

Fortunately, the victim wasn’t injured but she was left shaken by the incident.

The suspect is described as a male wearing dark clothing and he ran off towards Oldcastle Avenue.
