MAN CHARGED AFTER PURSUIT IN STOKE-ON-TRENT


A man has been charged following a short vehicle pursuit in Stoke-on-Trent.

The 21-year-old was arrested in Ubberley Road, Bentilee, around 3am on Friday morning (Dec 4).

Jordan Hunter, from Stoke-on-Trent, has been charged with failing to stop a vehicle when required by a constable; driving a motor vehicle dangerously; driving a motor vehicle otherwise than in accordance with a licence and using a motor vehicle on a road/public place without third party insurance.

He is due before magistrates in Newcastle on December 22.

Officers were on routine patrol in Victoria Road, Fenton, when they were alerted to the vehicle just before 2.30am. The vehicle failed to stop for officers and instead sped off through Longton to Bentilee.

The vehicle was abandoned in Washerwall Street and officers on the ground located and arrested Hunter in Ubberley Road.
