Did you see woman assaulted?


Police are appealing for witnesses to an incident in which a 44-year-old woman was assaulted in Leek by two unknown women.

The assault took place at around 7pm on Sunday, November 29 on Southbank Street at its junction with Fynney Street.

The woman was dragged to the ground by her hair and punched and kicked to the face causing cuts, bruising and swelling for which she received hospital treatment.

One woman is described as white and aged about 30 years old. She had blonde hair tied in a ponytail wand was wearing a beige coat with a fur-trimmed hood and knee length dark coloured boots. She spoke with a Stoke-on-Trent accent.

The second woman is also described as white and has short black hair. She was wearing a black jacket and jeans with flat trainer-style shoes.
