NEWS: TEENAGER CHARGED AFTER CANNABIS FACTORY DISCOVERED


A teenager is due in court today (Thurs) following the discovery of a cannabis factory in Cobridge, Stoke-on-Trent.

Officers were called to a former shop on Waterloo Road on Tuesday after information was received about suspicious activity at the address.

An 18-year-old was arrested at the property and subsequently charged with production of cannabis. Cung Simh Nguyen, of Cobridge, was due to appear before magistrates in Newcastle today (Thurs).

Following the discovery at the property officers from the West Midlands Cannabis Disposal Team cleared the property of cannabis. Approximately 350 plants were recovered.

An investigation into the matter is ongoing.
