We received a call just after midnight (Thursday 17 December) reporting a break-in at a business premises in Lichfield.
Offenders have gained access to the secure business units on Vulcan Road via a side field and cut a hole in the perimeter fencing before forcing the lock to a warehouse. Once inside offenders have smashed security sensors from off the wall and stolen a bag containing scrap copper.
Offenders left 20, 25 litre drums at the location and it is believed they intended to return later to steal diesel from the site.
