APPEAL: Did you witness a burglary and arson in Tunstall?


We were alerted to a fire at a shop in Roundwell Street at around 6.40am today, Monday 21 December.

Officers attended along with colleagues from Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service who were able to extinguish the fire.

An investigation at the scene established that the fire was started deliberately. It was found a number of electrical items were stolen from the property suggesting it was broken into before the fire was started.

A silver Volkswagen Golf was seen acting suspiciously in the area between 5am and 5.45am and detectives are keen to trace this vehicle.
