Serious assault in Uttoxeter


Police are appealing for witnesses to a serious assault with a bladed instrument on a 42-year-old man in Uttoxeter town centre.

The man is reported to have been attacked by a group of men late last night, or early this morning, Wednesday December 30. He was found in Market Place and officers are now working to establish where the assault took place.

The man, who lives in the Doveridge area, sustained serious facial injuries, as well as injuries to a lung and ribs. He was taken by ambulance to the Queen’s Medical Centre, Nottingham where he is stable.
