We received a call at 3.40am this morning (Tuesday 5 December) reporting a burglary in Wimblebury.
Offenders entered an address in Sweetbriar Way during the early hours through the garage up-and-over door and then through an internal door into the house. Money was stolen from a purse and a Samsung Galaxy S3 mini mobile phone.
A van which was parked on the driveway at the time was also searched but nothing taken.
A handbag and other items were found discarded nearby.
No damage was caused during the incident and it is believed that the offenders left when they saw the occupant in the lounge area of the house.
