Road traffic collision in Stafford

We received a call just before 7am this morning (Wednesday 20 January) reporting a road traffic collision in Stafford.

The collision occurred on the junction of Beaconside and Paten Way near to the traffic lights.

A black Ford Fiesta, a blue Citroen and another car were involved in the incident and a lot of debris and oil have spilled onto the road.

Highways are attending to clear the carriageway and the road was closed causing delays in the area. One lane of Beaconside from Redhill is now open but the road remains closed travelling from Weston Road.

Ambulance services are also in attendance at the incident but only minor injuries have been reported.

Drivers are advised to avoid the area and seek an alternative route if possible.
