POLICE ARREST 2 FOR CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO 21 CARS IN BIGNALL END


Officers investigating an incident in which 21 cars were damaged in Bignall End on Saturday night have arrested two youths.

We received a call at around 10.40 pm reporting criminal damage to a large number of vehicles on Hope St, Bignall End. Cars were kicked and wing mirrors broken.

A man aged 19 from Newcastle was arrested near to the scene and was given a conditional caution for being drunk and disorderly. The second male arrested, a 17 year-old youth also from Newcastle was released on police bail pending further investigation.
