A Cheadle shop owner was tied up by two males who entered the premises at closing time on Thursday, January 28.
The 48-year-old man was left on the floor of his TV and electrical shop on High Street at around 5pm.
He had been closing up when two males entered the shop, tied him up and taped his mouth. The man, co-owner of CES TV and Electrical, sustained brusing to his head and hip. He received treatment at hospital and was discharged.
The male offenders left the scene empty handed.
They are described as being around 5ft 6 inches tall. Both were wearing dark scarves over their faces and one had on a black hoody, the other a grey hoody.
Anyone who witnessed the incident or saw anyone behaving suspiciously is asked to call Staffordshire Police on 101, quoting incident 628 of January 28.
