Appeal: Did you witness robbery in Tamworth?


Officers are appealing for information following a robbery in Tamworth in December 2015.

At approx 6.15 to 6.30pm on Saturday 12 December the offender approached a woman from behind, in Hospital Street and grabbed her handbag from her left shoulder, pulling it down towards her hands. They have had a tug-of-war over the bag with the offender managing to get away with it. The bag is described as old fashioned style in black leather.

The offender then ran off with the handbag which contained a pink leather ‘Pauls Boutique’ purse, HTC Desire mobile phone in a pink leather cover, cash and bank cards.

The offender is described as a white teenager, aged 16-18 years-old, with short dark hair. He was about 5ft 6 – 5ft 7 inches tall and of very skinny build. He was wearing dark blue jeans with white writing on the bum and a tracksuit type jacket which was dark in colour.
