Officers investigating a burglary at a shop in Codsall in the early hours of today (Tuesday) are appealing for witnesses.

Four unknown offenders broke into the Co-op News Express store on Wolverhampton Rd, Codsall at around 2.30 am and stole a quantity of cigarettes. The four, all wearing dark clothing and balaclavas, gained entry to the shop by forcing a roller shutter blind and making a hole in the glass. They placed the cigarettes in a large white sack before leaving the shop and running towards a dark coloured estate car and heading off down Wolverhampton Rd towards Codsall village.

Anyone with any information is asked to ring 101 quoting incident 41 of 16 February.
