Theft of Bicycles Appeal: Rugeley

Officers from Cannock Chase Local Policing Team (LPT) are appealing for information following the theft of bicycles in Rugeley.

The incident happened between 5.30pm Wednesday 2 December and 8.30am Friday 4 December, when unknown offender/s forced entry to a secure garage at an address in Market Place, Abbots Bromley, and stole five bicycles.

One bicycle is described as a black Specialized S-Works Tarmac SL4 2012, with white frame decals, matt black Mavic wheels, SRAM red gears, crank and brakes.

The second bike is described as a black Camber Comp 29ER Mountain bike, with glossy black frame decals, black seat and black handlebars.

The third bike is described as a Trek 5200 road bike with a blue and silver carbon fibre frame, silver decals and has the words ‘US Team Postal Service’ on the downpipe and ‘Made in USA’ on the rear stay.

The fourth bike is described as a metallic dark grey Trek 5200 2010 road bike, with dark grey decals, Ultegra Crank black seat and handlebars.

The fifth bike is described as a Trek Fuel EX9 mountain bike, with a silver frame, black handlebars with red SRAM grips.

Anyone with information, or who has been offered similar items for sale, is asked to contact Staffordshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 421 of December 6.

Burglary in Sneyd Green

Report of a burglary received at 8.40am this morning (9 Dec) at an address in Tyrell Grove, Sneyd Green.

Offender/s had gained entry to a detached garage at the property. Not known if anything stolen at this time.

Break-in at a garage in Stretton

We received a report  just after 7.30am this morning (18 November) reporting a break-in at a garage in Stretton.

Between 11pm last night and 7.30am this morning offenders gained entry to the detached garage in Bitham Lane by smashing a window and stole a chainsaw.

A shed behind the garage was also broken into through a perspex window and hedge cutters stolen.

Garage Burglary in Hartshill

We received a report of a garage burglary at 7.05am this morning (29 October) at an address in Beaumaris Close, Hartshill.

Offender/s gained entry to garage and stole one mountain bike and three road cycles.

Chief Inspector Neil Hulme, Commander for Stoke-on-Trent Central Local Policing Team (LPT), said: “It is essential that people keep their homes, vehicles, sheds and outbuildings as secure as possible at all times. Opportunist thieves can strike in seconds and we need to make it harder for them to commit crime.

“There are numerous security devices available to protect property and I would encourage people to register their valuables at www.immobilise.com

Garage Burglary in Cannock

Report of a garage burglary received at 10.45am this morning at an address in Butts Way, Cannock.

Offender/s gained entry to garage between 6am 27 October and 9am this morning and stole a bicycle.

Garage burglary in Hednesford

We received a call just before 9.30am this morning (22 October), reporting a burglary at property in Hednesford.

Offenders forced the door to a detached garage in Sharon Way between Sunday night (18 October) and 6.30pm last night stealing tools including a Dewalt telescopic chop saw, a Makita circular saw, an Attachi planer and a Makita resipriator saw.

Inspector Paul Cooke, Deputy Commander of Cannock Chase Local Policing Team (LPT), said: “I urge anyone offered goods for sale in suspicious circumstances to call the police, that gives us the opportunity to investigate and work to return stolen property to the victims who paid good money for their property.”

Thefts from garage in Stafford

We received a call just after 8am this morning (23 September), reporting a garage that had been broken into overnight in Stafford.

Between 7pm last night and 7.50am this morning, offenders gained entry to the garage via the up-and-over door at a house in The Garthlands, Stafford.

Items including 2 push bikes and 2 black mini holdalls containing welders masks were taken.

Burglary Reported in Caverswall

Report of a burglary received at 8.30am this morning (2 September) at an address in Kingsley Road.

Offender/s forced entry to a secure garage and stole items including power tools, a pressure washer, chain saw, hedge cutters and lawnmower.

Incident believed to have occurred between 9.30pm 1 September and 8.10am 2 September.

Report of a burglary at a garage in Ainsworth Street, Stoke-on-Trent, received just after 7am this morning (20 August).

Offenders forced entry to the secure garage and stole an orange and black off road motorbike.
